The UK washroom solutions manufacturer chose ODSNet as the only e-commerce platform able to deliver a rich global B2B e-commerce experience plus 24/7 account & installation support
Guildford, UK, February 27, 2018– On Demand Solutions, creators of ODSNet™, the B2B eCommerce platform for SAP Business One and Sage, has announced that Unicorn Hygienics, the UK manufacturer and global exporter of intelligent washroom solutions, has deployed ODSNet as its B2B e-commerce and international customer support platform. It chose ODSNet as the only platform capable of providing both a comprehensive, consumer-style e-commerce experience and the ability to upload training materials and installation videos for on-demand access by product installers around the world.
Based in Lisburn, Northern Ireland, Unicorn Hygienics wanted a more efficient way to support and sell to its B2B partners. It chose ODSNet because the B2B e-commerce platform integrates seamlessly with its SAP Business One back-office system. This will allow the company to provide a rich self-service sales and support experience that is not dependent on a particular time zone, or on staff being available to take orders, provide status updates, or answer stock and pricing queries.
Importantly, Unicorn Hygienics also wanted to be able to provide comprehensive online support materials for product installers, including video guides and product data sheets. “None of the other systems we looked at made this possible: ODSNet was the only platform that could provide a rich e-commerce experience and act as an on-demand hub for support materials,” explains Gregg Marshall, business development executive at Unicorn Hygienics. “Providing this kind of resource was something that came up at one of our ‘Innovation’ meetings – we were looking for new ways to stand out in our market. While some of our competitors do offer online purchasing, none of them provide additional online support. Thanks to ODSNet, that’s something we can now offer.”
Another important aspect was to free up time for the staff to become more proactive around supporting and assisting customers. Unicorn Hygienics needed a product which could handle regular manual tasks such as order processing, providing order status updates and sending invoices.
Because ODSNet is directly integrated with SAP Business One, orders captured via the site are automatically routed for processing and immediately reflected in stock and sales records, so there is no longer a need for manual data re-entry. The site also reflects the latest product, stock and pricing information at all times, removing the need for customers to routinely call or email the office.
“Our customers can also access their full account histories, or check the status of their orders, at any time, leaving our people with more time for cross-selling, upselling and finding new customers in new markets,” Gregg notes. The web site is expected to bring in more business too – first by making it very easy for customers to place repeat orders, and secondly by automatically suggesting relevant add-on purchases, such as refills for Unicorn Hygienics’ washroom dispensers: an important revenue stream.
Adapting the e-commerce site for international markets will be easy as well. “We have plans to grow the business into new international markets, with the e-commerce site being easily and quickly translated into different language and currency versions, we hope this can be the key to further international success.” Gregg says.
