New York based business Blue Generation selected On Demand Solutions to implement ODSNet Trade – the B2B eCommerce add on for SAP Business One, back in 2017. Two years later we caught up with their IT Director Vito DiLeo to see how it had performed for them.
Why choose ODSNet?
Family-owned Blue Generation manufactures and distributes customizable apparel products servicing the North American markets and international customers as well. They have a large base of 15,000 B2B Customers, but were struggling with their existing system, Zedsuite.
Vito said, “Our Zedsuite solution had limited functionality in terms of website design. We were also struggling with support. ODSNet offers a much more robust and supported platform.”
Blue Generation wanted to create a more modern look and feel to their website, make it mobile friendly, and to upgrade their e-commerce capability to keep up with the market. It was also essential to find a solution that integrated tightly with their SAP Business One back office system.

How has ODSNet performed?
Going live in March 2018 the new website showcased more than 10,000 product options, and provided end-to-end integration with SAP Business One, and with Blue Generation’s secure credit card payment platform.
Since then B2B e-commerce has grown rapidly – by 2020 the B2B e-commerce market will be worth $6.7 trillion, twice that of the B2C market, and it’s becoming more and more vital for businesses to have a strong, tightly integrated e-commerce solution in place, or they risk being left behind.

The updated site is more intuitive and easier to navigate, and gives their B2B customers a rich, full featured web-store experience with direct links to SAP Business One. It also gives them full control of prices, credit control, stock, promotions and special offers – eliminating the need for duplicating information.
Blue Generation were so impressed they have since implemented the ODSNet Telesales add on. They outsource their telesales team, but the ODSNet module enables this team to rapidly enter orders, which are transferred to Blue generation via API. It also gives them vital information including customer specific pricing, volume discounts and promotional data. “The telesales application has proven to be a quick and reliable solution for creating orders in SAP B1”, added Vito.
